Get Creative with Creme Horns

I must confess that I try to avoid the bakery when I go in Walmart. As I near that area of the store, my radar zooms in to these flaky, creamy, sweet pastries that I can’t resist. It’s those darn crème Horns. I have a love/ hate relationship with them. I love them, my waist hates them.

They are also great when you need a quick desert that makes it look like you spent a lot of time and effort to create.

Buy a package and throw them in the freezer. When you need to throw together a quick dessert, thaw them, cut them into slices, and top them with whatever you happen to have on hand. Raspberry jam, chocolate, fruit, candy, or nuts. You could even go grab that chocolate candy bar that is melting in your car, throw it in the microwave, put it in a zip lock bag, poke a hole in the bag, and drizzle some of that chocolate over the pastry. The possibilities are endless.
