Tissue Paper Hearts

This was posted on my sister site Southern Blue Celebrations last year so I decided to share it on this site for this year.  It is so cute and easy to make.  It would be a great craft to make with your kids or for a  party, wedding, home, or office.

Make all one color or mix it up for added fun!

Materials needed:

  • Tissue paper (several colors) cut into approx. 1 inch squares

  • Hearts cut out of a stiff paper (poster board or card stock)

  • String or ribbon for hanging

  • glue

Take the squares and push your finger into the center, pulling the sides up around your finger. Pull finger out and give the point a little pinch to make it stay. Then start gluing them to the heart shape. Make sure to place them close enough that you can not see the paper between them.

After one side is complete, turn it over and glue the string to the heart. Continue to glue the squares the same as on the firont side.
