Chocolate Covered Banana Cakes

Chocolate covered banana cakes

When I was out shopping for the Little Debbie Strawberry Cakes the other day to make the Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cakes, I spied these banana cakes.  I knew they would taste just as awesome as the strawberry so I purchased a box.

I love strawberries but I love the flavor of banana more so these were my favorite.  Just like the strawberry cakes, these little cake bites are perfect for  a quick dessert or just a way to dress up something you may have on hand.  These would be really pretty with swirls of white chocolate on top but I didn’t have any on hand so I’ll just have to eat them this way.  They are actually much easier to eat this way.  Just pop the little bite size piece in your mouth ~ no crumbs or messy fingers ! (I am one of those people that can not eat anything, and I mean anything, without dropping it on my clothes)

These were made the same way as my little Strawberry bites.  I cut them into bite sized pieces and dipped them in almond bark.  It took one square of the almond bark to cover one package (2 cut up cakes).

If you lay the little bite of cake on a fork, you can take a spoon and drizzle the chocolate over the cake and then gently tap the fork on the side of the dish that you melted the chocolate in.  The tapping will force the chocolate down the side of the cake making a smooth even coating.  It also keeps crumbs from getting in your chocolate.

You can check out my photos showing how I place frozen bananas using this same process.
