FRIED OREO COOKIES
My sister and niece were making these the other night and they were so delicious that I knew I had to make some. The next day I want to the nearest town on my lunch break and purchased a Fry Daddy, cooking oil, Bisquick, milk, and Oreos. Yes, they were so good that I took 40 minutes of my lunch break and all of that money just to make these Fried Oreos Cookies for my Coworkers. They were very appreciative of my efforts and everyone enjoyed eating them as fast as I could get them cooked.
One of the girls in the office had a package of lemon Oreo cookies so I made of couple of Fried Oreos using the lemon for her. They were delicious but I liked the chocolate better. I think I will try the strawberry Oreo cookies the next time I make them.
I had seen recipes for Fried Oreo Cookies in the past but for some reason I associated it with a gooey, greasy messy kitchen. In reality, it was just opposite. I had my grease in my Fry Daddy and I had one bowl in which I mixed the ingredients. The dough covered the Oreo cookies easily and went into the fryer without a mess. I was so surprised at how great they puffed up and how quickly they cooked.
I’m listing the recipe below. I hope you give it a try and see how surprising simple yet delicious they are.
DOUGH MIXTURE
20 Oreo Cookies (or other cookie similar to Oreos)
2 cup Bisquick pancake mix
1 cup milk
2 eggs
Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Chocolate syrup for topping (optional)
In a small bowl, mix Bisquick, milk, and eggs. Stir until combined (there may still be a few lumps). Your batter should be thick.
