White Chocolate Peeps Rice Krispies Treats

Every month, Lady Behind the Curtain has a Dessert Challenge where she assigns two ingredients.  This weeks challenge was to create a dessert using white chocolate and marshmallow peeps.

I remembered a recipe where my sister made Peeps rice krispiees eggs for Easter.  I decided to use the same recipe and add white chocolate on top.  Of course I had to throw in some sprinkles !  I just love sprinkles.

I was going to dip the entire cut treat into the white chocolate but I loved the look of the white chocolate running down the side of the treat.  I looked like a piece of cake so I left it.  It would be perfectly acceptable to dip the entire bite size krispies square into the chocolate.

You make these the same way you would regular rice krispies treats except that you substitute marshmallow peeps for regular marshmallows.

Ingredients:
30 – 36 Peeps bunnies (you can use different colors- my store only had pink & yellow)
3 tablespoons butter
6 cups Rice krispies
About 6 squares of white almond bark

Melt the butter and the peeps in a large bowl (it takes 1  minute in my microwave).  Stir in the rice krispies and place into the dish of your choice.  You can cut them into shapes, mold them into egg shapes, or whatever your heart desires.

Melt your almond bark in a bowl in the microwave for about 1  1/2 to 2  minutes.  You can spread it over your treats or dip them into the melted almond bark.  Top with your favorite candy or sprinkles.
