Baby Tripp’s Birth ~ I photographed my grandsons birth !
The birth of my grandson was amazing, awesome, surreal, and the most beautiful event I have ever photographed. Yep, I photographed my grandson’s birth.
When we give birth to our children, we are caught up in a spiraling whirlwind of chaos. There are doctors, nurses, lights, and various instruments clinking against their metal tray as our children are brought into the world.
Being a grandparent means we get to step back and watch the scene unfold. If you ever have the chance to watch your babies have babies, do not pass it up. Not even if you are squeamish and pass out at the sight of blood (like I do).
My daughter had a miscarriage last year and we were devastated. When she found out she was pregnant again, we were excited but nervous. I don’t think I took a breath until the moment he was born.
Little man came into this world weighing 9 lbs 1 oz and 21 inches long. He was born four days after his due date but once the day arrived for his birth, he decided not to hurry out to meet us. My daughter was in labor 3 hours and 15 minutes. Her husband had stepped out of the room and I had to send him a text telling him to come back to the room…fast ! He didn’t believe me when I told him she was ready to push.
Tripp is such a blessing in our lives and I hope to one day see him grow up into a strong man of God.
