FARMHOUSE FRIDAY ~ TEXAS
When I ran across this farmhouse, I knew I had to share. Using my two favorite colors, blue & green, the interior designer Marci Barnes from M. Barnes & Co created this beautiful home.
Located only an hour from Dallas, this house has about 4,500 square feet, 4 bedrooms, 4½ bathrooms, plus a pool house.
The dining room features soft shades of blue and green, casual textures and a comfortable furniture.
With an open layout, this family room feels connected and it has plenty of space for everyone in the family.
Everything is about comfort in this farmhouse. The designer says that the family wanted the farmhouse to have a casual, comfortable country feel and this living room carries this feeling.
The mud room is fun and full of interesting antiques that the homeowner collected or purchased.
Brick flooring is also a fun and durable idea to any laundry room or mud room. A beautiful fabric was added behind the chicken wire cabinets while shelves and baskets add storage and texture to this space.
Floral fabric, octagon and dot tile floor, and large sink add a country feel to the guest bathroom. No detail was left out including the faucet and chandelier.
Don’t you just love the blue walls in this master bedroom?
Planked walls and skirted vanities stay true to the farmhouse feel.
And here is my dream bath tub and shower. Here again, they added elegance with the chandelier but kept the farmhouse fee.
The interior colors continue out into the pool house.
Windows and doors keep this bedroom bathed in light and the green walls are the perfect color for this room.
Classic details such as white marble and crystal knobs add beauty to the guest bathroom.
